A Child's Description...

Twerp #2 was tearing her dinner roll apart and putting pieces on her plate to be buttered. She said:

Twerp #2: Mom, you know that guy that came to our house for dinner...the one you're related to...you know, the one with three boys in the family and one girl? He's the one who taught me to do my roll this way.

Mom: You mean Gabe and Jesse?

Twerp #2: No, the other one. You know...the one with littler hair and no beard.

Now, you have to understand. My Aunt and Uncle came out here for Christmas with their boys...their older boys...their boys who decided that since they were on "vacation" that they didn't need to shave while they were here. Twerp #2 told both of them that they were itchy and that they should shave. So obviously, the "littler hair and no beard" comment was referring to my Uncle Gary.

Sorry Gary. You have more hair than my dad...so that's saying something. I'm not quite sure what it's saying, but it is saying something! I love you Gary, Carol, Gabe and Jesse. We sure enjoyed your visit out here and miss playing games with you all. I'll see you in March when I come out for Grandpa's 90th birthday.

365 Photos - One a day for a year!

I've decided to take a picture a day for the rest of the year. I started on January 1st and have been enjoying the process. I am trying to take pictures that show what my life is like this year...not necessarily good pictures of the kids every day. I'm journaling and am going to make a photo album at the end of the year with all my pictures. I have really begun to enjoy digital scrapbooking...I can scrapbook on the computer and not have all that junk out for my kids to ruin. When I'm done for the moment, I just save my project and walk away - there's nothing to clean up. Here are the first two pages from the first full week in January. I won't bore you with every page that I create, I promise. Have a great day, ya'll!
